This year is flying by and I feel like I’ve slacked a little on making plans. As I’m in super saving mode, it’s a little hard to have fun days out every weekend so I’m often slogging on the sofa with my Netflix and chocolate. BUT! I’ve decided to change that and there are a few things I’m super excited for this year.
1. May bank holiday camping trip
I’ve never been camping, unless you count V festival. My boyfriend and I have booked a stay at the Barefoot Campsite in Oxford which is back to basics with composting toilets and no electricity. I’ve hand picked a pitch by the river with a camp fire and I’m super excited. Whilst a 5* luxury hotel would be my more popular choice, camping is budget friendly and I’m hoping it will be a great laugh.
2. 21st birthday celebrations
It’s my 21st birthday on 20th May and I have plenty of plans. Although I’ll be at work on the day of my birthday, I have plans for a big party and tickets to Radio 1 Big Weekend, as well as hoping to get a chance to go to Yelp’s Pignic! (If you don’t know, I love pigs!) Birthday’s are always a big deal for me and I believe they should be celebrated in style. As well as my birthday, it’s also two of my closest friends 21st birthdays this year which will also involve lots of celebrations!
3. A trip to Turkey
I love Turkey. It’s one of my favourite holiday destinations and such a beautiful country. After a great trip last year, I’m going back in September with my boyfriend and other family members. If you haven’t been, I recommend it. The weather is great, the locations are beautiful and the people are extremely friendly… not forgetting the alcohol measures are crazy!
4. Thailand Adventure
Whilst I’m not going to Thailand in 2015, I’ll be going a little crazy preparing for it. I leave for a 24 day adventure in Thailand on the 8th of January and I am so excited! I’ll be visiting various places including Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui on my trip which I’ll be travelling with G Adventures.
I’m determined to make progress this year. I’m getting a little bored of my job which could do with either a promotion or a fresh start. I’ll also be focusing on my university degree and working harder on my little blog.
What are you looking forward to this year?
With love, Lottie
