So I have just returned from the beautiful island on Cyprus. It is one of my favourite holiday destinations that offers culture, beaches, sunshine and plenty of food & cocktails. Rather than going all inclusive, self catering is always preferred as there are so many mouth watering restaurants available to try. Whilst I still have much of Cyprus, and Paphos in particular to explore, some of the restaurants there have provided the best food I have ever eaten.
Ask absolutely anybody about this restaurant and they will recommend you book a table ASAP. I think you know a place has got to be good when even the locals are recommending it. From the name you can definitely invision what to expect… Food, food and a lot more food. Portion sizes are insane in this place and ‘Mammas Portion’ is definitely not for the faint hearted.
Karlina is actually rated number 4 on trip adviser when researching restaurants in Paphos. I was only surprised by this as it doesn’t look like much but the food is incredible and the service was fantastic. We visited here many a time on our trip, especially for the full english breakfast, but the highlight was the traditional Cypriot Meze.
Shout out to my main man Ulysess who runs Tramps – what a darling little 72 year old fella. Honestly, this bloke & his family are the reason Tramps is such a fantastic venue to go to. They’re menu is extensive with drinks having a dedicated 6 pages. We popped in here for the England game during the Euros and it had such a good, fun atmosphere. They’re due to be having a little makeover so I can’t wait to go back next year and see what it’s like!
Alongside the harbour, you’ll find this gem of a restaurant. To be honest, all the restaurants along this stretch are great and I guarantee you’ll enjoy any of them. The fella outside called George pulled us in and said if you don’t like it, don’t pay! And I think that was definitely a good sign that the food would be good.
Uh, we found this little beaut on our last day and it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The portion sizes are super generous and the food is incredible. I chose the cheesy pollo pasta after a week filled with chips and ribs for a change and I wish I could have finished the portion but no matter how hard I tried, there was just so much. We was recommend by a couple of lovely ladies that they do a superb Sunday buffet lunch.
Let me know if you try out any of these restaurants and if you have any other recommendations!
